Vail Valor Marathon and Half-Marathon, May 29, 2017

Location: Vail Village

Make your Memorial Day count by coming out for Vail's 5th annual spring road race in the mountains. The 2017 Vail Valor Races offers several distances: marathon, half-marathon, 5-mile run/walk, and 1-mile memorial run/walk through town. The Vail Valor Races is an affordable and fun way to get everyone together to celebrate fitness and pay tribute to our nation's fallen heroes.

Go Pro Summer Mountain Games, June 8-11, 2017

The Summer Mountain Games are the nation's largest celebration of mountain sport, lifestyle and music featuring top professional and amateur athletes from around the world. The environmentally friendly adventure sporting event hosts approximately 3,000 outdoor athletes, along with an estimated 40,000 spectators. Events include kayaking, rafting, stand up paddling, mountain biking, road cycling, World Cup Bouldering, amateur climbing, fly-fishing, trail running and a half marathon. Additional events at the Summer Mountain Games include: a film series, Outdoor Reels; a photography competition, Mountain Click; an interactive expo area, Gear Town; DockDog canine competitions; free concerts at Mountains of Music and the Summer Mountain Ball.

Crazy Mountain Hot Summer Nights: Tuesdays, June 13-August 22, 2017

Annual free summer concert series with shows ranging from rock to country to bluegrass to funk and beyond. Throngs of music lovers gather at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater each Tuesday night to enjoy sunshine, picnics, friends , incredible free music and beer tastings from Crazy Mountain Brewing Company.

Vail Farmers' Market & Art Show: Sundays, June 18-October 1, 2017

Enjoy Colorado's largest Farmers' Market just up the street from us. Colorado's finest is waiting here for you, including locally grown produce, international dishes, fresh baked goods and even Colorado wine, all ready for you to enjoy during your summer in Vail. Once you have sated your hunger, enjoy even more local creativity at the Art Show. You can find everything from beautiful clothing and jewelry to handmade home items, the perfect thing to remind you of your wonderful Vail summer vacation.

Vail Arts Festival: June 23-25, 2017

The Vail Arts Festival, renowned for its quality and variety of premier works of art. This open-air street festival creates ambiance and entertainment for Vail guests in late June. The Vail Arts Festival is a juried event with mixed media artists in multiple disciplines. There are over 80 artists showcasing digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics and print making, metal works, wood, mixed media, ceramics, paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, and fashion.

Beaver Creek Rodeo Series: Thursdays, June-August 2017

Dust off your cowboy boots and tack on some spurs as the 15th annual Beaver Creek Rodeo returns. Located in Avon behind Chapel Square with free shuttle service from the covered bridge in Beaver Creek Village. The full line up of classic rodeo events include bronc riding, calf scramble, team roping, mutton bustin’, barrel racing, bull riding and burro racing. Bring the whole family for pony rides, face painting, mechanical bull, western fare and a wide range of barbecue offered by Vail Valley restaurants beginning when gates open at 5 p.m.

Summer in the Gardens Celebrations: June-August, 2017

Vail Jazz Festival: June 9 - September 4, 2017

During this 12 week period, experience the best of today’s jazz musicians at 40 different jazz shows including Jazz at the Vail Farmers’ Market (Sundays noon – 3pm), Jazz at Sweet Basil (Sundays 8:30 – 11pm), Jazz at Vail Square (Thursdays), Apres Jazz – wrapping up with the Labor Day Weekend Vail Jazz Party.

Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival: June 22 - August 4, 2017

Hailed as one of the Top 10 "Can't Miss" Classical Musical Festivals in the US by NPR (, Bravo! Vail is the only Festival in North America to host four world-renowned symphony orchestras in a single season. For six weeks every summer, internationally acclaimed soloists join the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic featured in programs of the great classics, plus jazz and pops. While audiences come for a variety of reasons, they stay with Bravo! Vail for the ultimate trifecta: enjoying extraordinary music in the company of great friends and the natural beauty of the Vail Valley.

Vail America Days: July 4, 2017

A true summer celebration featuring exceptional entertainment including Vail’s celebrated 4th of July parade and fireworks. The parade will begin at Golden Peak at 10:00 a.m. on July 4 and will wind its way through the villages, ending in Lionshead. Vail’s parade is one of the most popular events during the Independence Day holiday. This year's parade theme is America the Beautiful!

SOS Outreach Colorado-Eagle River Ride and and Roadhouse MTB Ride: July 22, 2017

The Colorado-Eagle River Ride is a premier cycling event in the Vail Valley benefiting the non-profit SOS Outreach. We are proud to sponsor this event to support underserved youth throughout Colorado. This is one of the most scenic rides in Colorado, going from Beaver Creek Mountain Resort out along the scenic banks of the Colorado and Eagle Rivers. This unique ride not only gives riders an opportunity to ride a 102 mile, 68 mile or 42 mile course that can be difficult without full SAG support, but all proceeds go towards getting more youth outdoors and involved in a leadership program.

Vail International Dance Festival: July 29 - August 12, 2017

The Festival is a two-week celebration of exceptional artistry taking place in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Festival performances will take place at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail and Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek.

Gourmet on Gore: September 1-4, 2017

An open-air gourmet food and wine festival, Gourmet on Gore takes place along Vail's Gore Creek Drive and Bridge Street showcasing the Vail Valley's premier restaurants as well as wine, beer and spirits from around the world. There is no cost for admission and guests can sample tasting-size portions of gourmet food as well as wine tastings and other beverages at very reasonable prices. Live jazz music, wine demonstrations combined with great food and drink come together to create a wonderful atmosphere in Vail Village.
