Vail Mountain
Summer or Winter, Vail Mountain has much to offer. With over 5,000 skiable acres, Vail is the largest single mountain ski resort in North America. It offers diverse terrain for the advanced and expert skiers to those just starting out. Vail Mountain has three base areas - Golden Peak, serviced by the Riva Bahn Express lift; Lionshead, serviced by the Eagle Bahn Gondola; and Vail Village serviced by the Vista Bahn Express lift. The mountain rises 3.450 feet above Vail Village.
In the summer, Vail Mountain is open for hiking and mountain biking with trails starting from Vail Village and Lionshead. The Eagle Bahn Gondola also runs in the summer providing easy access to the top of the mountain.
